Provenance

Death Note Silence, hailing from Shawinigan (Quebec, Canada), comes up with a massive and intense wall of sound. The band presents a huge production with choirs, violins, pianos mixed with dark industrial touch and post-apocalyptic sounds. Moreover, even if they were inclined to believe that they border on a slightly more mainstream style, let’s know that they remain a very underground band, engaging the most underdog crowds. Hardworking since 2015, Dutch (drum), Ju (bass), Pete Lavoie(guitar) and Ben Garceau(vocals) conquered their local scene as soon as their first album (Code of Silence) arrived in 2016 stood out with the release of their 2nd full album (self titled) in 2018. Which led them to earn a place in the final competition of Heavy Montreal in 2019. With the release of their latest album (Collide and Collapse) in 2022, this earned them a place as finalist for Metal Album of the Year at the GAMIQ. We can say without embarrassment that Death Note Silence definitely brings a fresh touch to current metalcore/deathcore genre. For 2025, they are currently putting the finishing touches to their 4th album and will be taking part in the Gaspesian Metalfest and the prestigious Rock la Cauze festival. Performing across Eastern Canada , they shared the stage alongside the biggest names in the industry such as Born of Osiris, Get the Shot, The Agonist, Silverstein, Obliterate, Nervosa, Enterprise earth, Blindwitness, BARF, Anonymus, Boundaries and many others. Death Note Silence are the new up and comers who will be of a certain interest to those already fans of Motionless in White, Ice Nine Kills, Parkway Drive and Heavier band such as Despised Icon, Brand of Sacrifice and The Browning.
